The National Clergy and Lay Women Humanitarian Foundation :
The Foundation does privilege projects that will promote spiritual, social, economic, and political empowerment of women and girls. We understand this sector of society as the most vulnerable when it comes to civil and human rights and the least protected by custom, tradition and law.
The National Clergy and Lay Women Humanitarian Foundation gives priority to the following four program areas respectively:
1. Community programs, especially those that are faith-based, led by clergywomen and lay women to ameliorate social conditions and self-perceptions of impoverishment, reduce HIV-AIDS infection, and produce education module about peace education or non-violence;
2. Public charity programs and organizations that promote the empowerment of women and girls to foster the necessary changes in their lives, and that of their communities, including addressing violence against women and teen pregnancy;
3. Create opportunities to develop women’s leadership in faith-based communities through social activities of collaboration, mentoring, coalition building and partnerships in local, regional, and national human welfare related endeavors; and
4. Invest resources in established public charity programs, agencies or community organizations that target youth offenders to reduce high recidivism rates among minority populations.
